Amanda Carey killed in Alleged North Charleston, South Carolina Drunk Driving Accident

Authorities from the offices of the South Carolina State Police have released the identity of the individual killed in a road accident in North Charleston, SC on Saturday, August 24th, 2013, according to Live5News.com. Police familiar with details of the investigation believe Amanda Carey was killed when the vehicle she occupied collided with another vehicle for reasons currently under investigation while navigating Highway 17.

According to the statement released by authorities, Amanda Carey sustained massive injuries in the accident and was consequently pronounced dead on the scene by emergency response personnel when they arrived. The driver of the offending vehicle has since been identified as Taylor Watkins, who currently faces drunk driving related charges stemming from the accident. The investigation into the crash remains active and ongoing.
