A fatal accident near the Woodlands, north of Houston, TX left three people dead and one man critically injured. According to news reports, 43-year old Edward Blackwell drove a Chevrolet Impala into oncoming traffic on July 1, 2012 at about 1:30 in the morning, striking another vehicle in a head-on collision. Sources said that Blackwell had turned onto I-45′s access road just north of Woodlands Parkway. The second car’s driver was identified as 25-year old Anis Atkins. the accident happened at about 1:30 a.m. on July 1, 2012.

The head-on collision killed Atkins immediately and critically injured Blackwell. 27-year old Dominique Hobbs was a passenger in Atkins’ vehicle and was also killed in the accident. Blackwell’s passenger, 47-year old Stephen Isbell, was declared dead at the scene as well. Police said that Blackwell was suspected of having “elevated alcohol” in his blood and was subsequently taken to a hospital. Authorities are expected to investigate the matter further.
I went to LMS with Anis. When I saw the bad news on facebook late last night my heart felt like someone dropped a ton of bricks on me. So heavy! It is so sad and very unfair how this happened! My prayers go out to her family and friends. I love you Anis!! R.I.P
I was a very close friend of Anis and was preparing to help her move from Houston, where I’ve known Nisi, to Dallas. When I found out my bestfriend was killed it hurt me so much that I didn’t want to believe it. She was a great person with an extremely giving heart. I love you Anis and extend my prayers to your family and friend in Dallas. God Bless

I heard of this accident and feel so bad I knew Dominique from work he was a good friend to me and my sister who also worked with him he was always nice to everyone. And talked so much about his son he will be truly Missed

I just can’t believe I knew Anis she worked on my case when I had my car accident. She’s such a sweetheart and still is unbeliveble that we lost her on such traggic away.
I just lost my sister on July 8th with a drunk driver killed my sister and my brother in law. I just can’t believe such horrible away to die.
