Chereece Rule Killed in Dayton, OH Alleged Drunk Driving Accident

Local news sources from Dayton, OH stated that a fatal accident that involved five vehicles left one woman dead and five others injured. Chereece Rule, 39, was listed as the deceased victim of the accident, and sources said that she was a passenger in a car that struck a semi-truck while trying to avoid an allegedly drunk driver. Police said that 18-year old Rachel Schidecker was driving under the influence of alcohol after leaving the downtown area of Dayton on August 12, 2012.

Schidecker allegedly entered I-75 the wrong direction and began traveling north in the southbound lanes. Rule’s vehicle swerved to miss Schidecker and drove into the path of an oncoming semi-truck, which struck their vehicle and killed Rule immediately. After the first collision, Schidecker’s vehicle then struck another van, which caused a third collision. Five people were transported to local hospitals, but details and names were not immediately available. Schidecker was reportedly charged with manslaughter, police said.
