Five Injured in Suspected Austin, TX Drunk Driving Accident

Authorities from the Texas State Police have not yet identified the individuals they suspect were injured in an Austin, TX on Monday, March 25th, 2013. Police and accident investigators believe that five people were injured when a suspected drunk driver hopped a curb and struck them at a taco stand in Austin. The driver reportedly fled the scene after the accident.

According to the report, the injuries stemming from the accident range from minor to serious. One individual was burned by cooking oil from the taco stand as a result of the collision. The investigation into the fatal accident is currently active and ongoing by personnel from both local and state agencies. Authorities hope that any eyewitnesses that have not come forward will do so in an effort to aid investigators in better understanding the nature of the accident that injured multiple people.
