John Carter Killed in Temple, TX Suspected Alcohol-Involved Accident

A fatal two-car accident in Temple, TX on October 17, 2012 left John Jarrett Colton Carter, 26, dead and four other people injured. Sources said that a black Dodge truck collided with a red Dodge truck at the intersection of Airport Trail and Research Parkway. The resulting collision left Carter dead, the driver of the red Dodge truck.

Police said that the cause of the accident was not yet determined, but that three passengers in the black Dodge truck, as well as the driver, were taken to a hospital. One was in serious condition and the others were in stable condition, reports said. The accident may have been influenced by alcohol, police reported, but no details were confirmed. The police said that alcohol was being investigated as a factor, according to the news reports.
