Roman Rubio Killed in Burbank, CA by Suspected Drunk Driver

Police reports from Burbank, CA have identified the man who was killed on December 12, 2012 in a fatal allegedly drunk driving accident as Roman Ramos Rubio, 33. According to reports, Rubio was driving along Alameda Avenue near South Buena Vista Street at about 5:40 a.m. when his sedan was hit by an SUV.

The impact caused Rubio’s sedan to crash into a light pole and a wrought-iron fence on the property of Walt Disney’s Studios, which is located just south of the accident site on Buena Vista Street. Rubio was declared dead at the site from his injuries, reports said. The driver of the SUV that hit Rubio, however, was uninjured and identified as 29-year old Ivan Valle. He was taken into custody by local law enforcement officers on the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Police said that he was later arrested for vehicular manslaughter and will appear in court on January 3, 2013.
