Samuel Courtney Killed by Alleged Drunk Driver in Shepherd, TX

Police reports from Shepherd, TX stated that Samuel Courtney, 11, was killed on November 11, 2012 after a fatal two-car accident along US-59. Courtney was reportedly a passenger in a 2013 Ford that was involved in a wreck with another car at FM 233.

Courtney was killed immediately in the accident and police said that one of the drivers, a man from Iowa, was arrested for intoxication manslaughter. No other names were released in the accident report and it was not known to which car the Iowa man belonged. Police are still investigating the accident.
